New Series

A really good series is the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. The first in the series is a book called Eragon. This book is about a farm boy who finds a strange blue stone in the Spine mountains known for its unusually circumstances and things mysteriously disappearing when they walk in including the king's army. Eragon returns to his home in Alegasia a kingdom ruled by a ruthless emperor. The emperor used to be a dragon rider until his dragon was killed by urgals the half men half beast that live on the edge of the empire. He went to the council to demand they give him another dragon but they did not so instead he killed them all and poisoned a dragon egg with dark magic to serve him. Eragon finds out that what he thought was just a blue stone is actually a dragon egg which has hatched for him! Now he has a decision to make join the empire or be destroyed by it?

It's been a long time since I have gotten on. There are a lot of new books out there and here are a few guidelines to follow....first don't be afraid to try something new! it may be intimidating but you will be rewarded for your courage....second don't just read books in your genre try poems, newspapers you never now what interesting things you can find just by looking past that one book you're holding....Lastly ask your friends their likes and dislikes maybe you'll find new material from old sources!! until next time :)

Iron Daughter

Here is a really good book that you won't be able to put down....Iron Daughter by Julia Kagawa. It's all about a girl named Megan Chase, she finds out that she is the daughter of a mythical Fairy King Oberon. Thrust into the world of fairys she must find her half bother that has been kidnapped by this mysterious new fairy race known as the Iron Fey, iron being deadly to fairys has caused this new race to be almost invincible. Joined in her journey by the trouble maker Puke also known as Robin Goodfellow and a dark winter Prince. Who wants to deliver Megan to his mother the queen of The Winter Court. Will Megan succeed in rescuing her brother or will the winter prince capture her before she can reach him in the Iron Realm?

I have been away for awhile...school! But today I want to tell you about the book series that made me fall in love with reading. Reading for me was very challenging because of speech and learning disabilities.. ( I was a really slow reader in class). The summer before my freshman year of high school my brother gave me this book called Twilight yes Twilight! I read it in like 3 days which was impressive for me than ( I also didn't go to sleep til 3am )....Anyway i finished the series in a week! Since than I read about a book a day. My advice find a book that really interests you before you know it you'll be a book warm too! Trust me it opens a whole new world for you...

Before I go into Crescendo I want to finish up the Bourne Series, now I will tell you I have only read to the forth book and then I stopped yeah yeah i know i need to finish reading them but i was a little discouraged by the beginning of the fifth novel. In the Bourne Ultimatum Carlos the Jackal is back for one last revenge on David Webb and now his wife and young kids. The series takes you around the world and back again. Who will be the ultimate winner Carlos the Jackal or David Webb/ Jason Bourne who is more powerful? And why has Carlos the Jackal come back now to seek the revenge he has been harboring since book 1?

Yeah i know i haven't bloged in a little while, well i was busy reading!!!! I want to talk about a second book but first i will tell you a little about the first. Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. In this book the main character Nora is trying to cope with the lose if her father at the same time as juggling school and of course the school's mean queen. Then with the start of the new school year she is forced out of her comfort zone by the football coach/ biology teacher. Shy Nora is now forced to sit next to the new boy, Patch who is making it known to everyone that he follows no rules. And guess who's biology partner he is? Yeah that's right Nora. But the more Nora gets to know Patch the more it seems like a risk. Will she take that risk? Check out Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Next on the agenda Crescendo the second in the Hush Hush series.

Ya! I officially have one follower! Excited day for a blogger :). Today the book I want to discuss is one written by a woman who in my opinion is the nicest writer I met. She took the time to talk with me even talked about my working progress book. Well one of her books is called Love's Enduring Bond. This book is set in the Civil War where North and South are bitterly divided however one nurse tries to over come the hatred of both sides. Her husband fights for honor and for the South, while her and her doctor father nurse the wounded (Yankees) Union Soldiers. Check this book out Love's Enduring Bond by Jean Keating
